  About the Project
The Community Connections Project, a project through the United States Department of State, brings mid-level professionals from the former Soviet Republics to Louisville to intern for a month with small and mid-sized businesses and organizations.

The heart of the visitors' stay is the four day each week spent with local businesses who graciously host them with no monetary compensation. In addition to the internships, the participants spend one day each week attending seminars at the LICC offices. Faculty from the University of Louisville, Indiana University Southeast, Spalding University, and local businesses and professional leaders conduct the seminars.

Along with the internship and seminars, the Community Connection participants enjoy attending local cultural events and living with families in Greater Louisville area.
